To El Salvador we go!
Hello!
Today we embark on our way to El Salvador. So far me (Kari), Javier, and Shawn have been touring Guatemala. Yesterday we went to Xela, which is up in the mountains. Our purpose of going up there was to see a school that I might teach at. It is an all English Christian school that is open to whoever wants a Christian education and learn as an English school. I really liked the school, however it seems that the positions I was applying for are now filled. I will see what will happen though!
After that VERY long drive (I think 6 hours) we went to this BEAUTIFUL lake called Atitlan in Panajachel.
We were starving so we ate at this goregous hotel that has the most beautiful gardens! Then on top of that the view of the lake has volcanoes in the background. Then we drove all the way back home. Shawn and I are trying to improve our spanish. It is going good but slow (at least for me) We will try to update this as much as possible, however internet will be scarce because we will have to pay for it.
Hasta Luego!
Kari, Shawn, and Javier

Kari, I love the pictures on your blog so far! There are positions open for teachers at the Christian Academy of Guatemala in Guatemala City with Wycliffe. They need a music, art, drama, computer, and middle school teacher (not all the same person). Linda Speyers
